REFUGIO MARNES, to enjoy the most unprecedented nature in la Marina Alta
Richard Steenblik and Willem Pieffers are two Dutch entrepreneurs who almost two decades ago united their vocation for nature and the recovery of rural heritage in a common project: Refugio Marnes. At the foot of the Serra de Bèrnia, within the municipality of Llíber, lies this unique property on which the central building stands, surrounded by an atmosphere as genuine as it is comfortable and peaceful.
Refugio Marnes, with its varied offer of accommodation - rooms or complete houses can be rented - is a reference point for entering the magnificent mountains of the interior of the region, but it is also a good option for those who wish to enjoy the beach or cycling. There are many leisure alternatives in contact with nature.
Peace, comfort and simplicity fill every room of this refuge in each of its carefully restored buildings with a design that combines without stridency the original elements and structures with other more innovative and avant-garde concepts.
The commitment to sustainability is another of the strong pillars of this project. Solar energy provides almost 100% of the electricity supply and maximum attention is paid to water resources and waste recycling. "We work to be the greenest and most sustainable Rural House in Spain" is the most noble and sincere conviction of its owners
